Editor's Ramblings - April 28th 2008

The spring season has been a busy one here in Arizona. Several events have already passed and many more are coming up in the month of may. Already we've been privileged to host a Nopi Drift Series qualifier and the upstart of a new amateur drift series within one month of each other. FIR plays host to one of the larger events of the year as NASA puts on it's annual Hyper Drive event. Expect plenty of time attack, road racing, and drifting as Modified puts on its Tuner Shoot Out, Super Street runs the Super Lap Battle, and Trial by Fire hosts Drifting. It should make for an exciting day of motoring so mark your calendar for May 24th.

As always, it's a great time in Arizona and the southwest for motoring. N.A.S.A. and Club Racing Arizona are playing host to many racing and drifting events. Take a look at the schedule in the events section, where you'll find event dates and links to their respective registration and info pages. You'll also find exciting photo coverage, showing why the Southwest is the hottest region for motorsport year round.

You can take certified instructed driving courses and race in several different classes of road racing. Drifting fever has bitten many car enthusiasts, but it's important to keep your new found interest off the streets and keep it on the track. There's no excuse that there aren't any events to practice at. So register, take the proper instruction, and drift responsibly in a controlled environment where you can trully hone your skills.
